自1984年以来，潍坊市一年一度，连续举办了16届潍坊国际风筝会，提高了潍坊的知名度，带动了经济腾飞，促进了社会文体事业的发展。

第十七届潍坊国际风筝会将于2000年4月20日在潍坊举行，历时4天。

我们将以风筝为媒介，进一步扩大国内外文体、经济交流，增大同全国各地及世界人民的友好往来。使风筝成为潍坊连接世界各地的五彩缤纷的纽带。
    Sixteen Weifang International Kite Festivals have been held successively once a year in Weifang since 1984, which has improved the fame of Weifang, promoted the rapid economic development of Weifang and enhanced the development of social culture and sports undertakings.
The 17th Weifang International Kite Festival will be held in Weifang on April 20,2000,lasting for 4 days.
Taking Kites as the medium, we will further strengthen cultural and economic exchanges home and abroad, and enhance the friendly contacts between China and the world, and make kites become the colourful links between Weifang and the world.
  “企业产品宣传月”活动介绍
第十七届潍坊国际风筝会定于2000年4月20日在潍坊开幕，历时4天。本届风筝会遵循“风筝牵线、文体搭台、经贸唱戏”的宗旨，采取“政府主办、社会参与、市场运作”的办会方式，力争办成有众多企业参与，社会效益和经济效益好，节日气氛热烈隆重的风筝盛会。
根据中共潍坊市委办公室、潍坊市人民政府办公室“潍办发（1999）30号”文件精神，由潍坊国际风筝会办公室牵头，统一协调市建委、市工商局、市公安局、城管办等部门，将风筝会前后一个月的黄金时间（2000年3月25日至4月25日）作为“企业产品宣传月”。
